First off, thank you to all our clients for using our services. As everyone knows, the purpose of SHIFT is to provide clients with data for:
- Developing excellent environmental improvement strategies
- Independent progress monitoring
- Compliance – SECR
- ESG reporting for investors
- Benchmarking with peers
Secondarily, there is the well known bronze, silver, gold and platinum badge element. Whilst this is not the purpose of the SHIFT assessment, we know that the badge plays a part in driving improvements within organisations [1].
We also know that many clients are seeking platinum badge – no-one has achieved this yet! We also know that the platinum targets were set over a decade ago and they are due an upgrade to reflect current understanding of environmental impacts.
To that end we would like to consult with our wonderful users on re-setting platinum targets. Key areas:
- Move away from average SAP to % above EPC C/MEES
- % of homes not on fossil fuels
- % of homes adapted to climate change
- Biodiversity and green spaces – what does good look like?
We will set up a Teams meeting to discuss with all users. We are looking at dates in early November 2026. Once a date has been arranged, we’ll start inviting everyone.
It will also be an ideal event for all SHIFT users to get together as a group!
